Our guide to looking after your tattoo!
Do's and don'ts of all the major issues and concerns!
Some cheeky little tips top!

The First Day
Okay so your tattoo is complete and you have your cover from the artist. Please leave this on for an hour at most, then remove and wash with soapy warm water. If you find the soap is stinging/burning you, please switch to something unscented.
Pat your tattoo dry with a fresh clean towel, keep doing this until the weeping stops.
Healing Process
Your tattoo will heal within 10 to 14 days.
After the first day, you will clean your tattoo each day as normal, like you would take a shower. But dont submerge your tattoo in water for too long, so a bath might not be the best idea depending on location.
Your scabs will start to form over the first few days, sometimes these are heavy, sometimes it will just look like peeling sunburn.
If you need to moisturize your tattoo, please use a cream that is light and water based. We recommend Bulldog. This works for most clients without issue, albeit a little pricey.
The rule for the moisturizer is this; When its dry, reapply.
Some folks need to apply 3 times a day, some people 1 time and others 8 times plus, it depends on the individual.

Special Attention
There are some basic but firm rules also,
Do not go swimming under any circumstance until your tattoo is fully healed. don't pick it, don't scratch it and dom't go into the sun without covering it.
Full colour tattoos when forming scabs, may create a green colour. This is most likely plasma from the blood mixing with pigments. All you need to do is dry the area affected and continue your tattoo heal as normal.
Any scabs that crack or bleed due to being too dry or in high mobility areas, will need longer to heal, possibly another 3 weeks. Please be patient, your tattoo will heal just fine.
DO NOT USE AQUEOUS CREAM ON YOUR TATTOO!
